Physical description
Small circular wooden blocl, with the seal of the old Kaitaia Borough Council painted on one side. The block has a small metal fitting recessed into the top. The painting of the seal has a Kauri tree dominating the centre, with a sailing ship on the left and a motif made up of a gum probe, shovel and axe on the right. encircling this is a girth strap enscribed - "Borough of Kaitaia N.Z." The Councils motto - "Deo Adjuvante, Non Timendum" is also featured.
