Physical description
Oriental style tea pot, with a high bamboo handle arching over the top of the tea pot and attached on two sides. The tea pot has a relatively tall, but broad body, with a pronounced base. The pot has a large lid which exposes almost the whole interior of the pot when removed. A light grey glaze has been applied overall to the pot and lid, while decorative features include small patches of gold paint and motifs of red and yellow petaled flowers. The base is marked "Made in Japan" over a red potters mark of oriental characters.
