Description
Expedition of the "Tainui" whaleboat to remove blackfish (young dolphins) washed up on the beach 1902 at Cemetary Point, Tohoraha (Mt Camel). Later that year 10 November the Tainui was used to take a message of the Elingamite wreck to the ship "Zealandia" which rescued 89 survivors. The Tainui is now at the Voyager Maritime Museum in Auckland.
