Physical description
The handkerchief, a WWI printed cotton souvenir depicting scenes from the Great War - Aircraft, Zeppelin and the Belgium Fort of Liege under attack in 1914. The border consisting of the Union Jack, French, Russian and Belgium flags repeated in equal numbers completes a full square. At the centre, again the flags of Britain, France, Russia and Belgium with artillery to each side.
The wall hanging, a WWI souvenir printed on cotton depicting the contribution made by Australia and New Zealand in the Great War, consisting of illustrations of the landing at Gallipolli Peninsula, various battleships and the scrap heap. A view of the 'Emden' after the fight with the 'Sydney' off the Cocos Keeling Islands.
