Medium sized Adze of long thin form and roughly rectangular shape, piece has rounded handle worked and sqaured off sides and terminates in a fine sharp cutting edge.
The stone of the Adze is dark grey almost black where it has been worked, but the natural colour is very speckled in appearance due to the presence of many tiny light brown spots and patches, in the past a rectangular label was obviously stuck to the Adze, then removed leaving a rectangular mark behind.
