Physical description
Medium sized, dark grey coloured adze. Piece has a rounded handle, worked and squared off sides and terminates in a fine, sharp cutting edge. A large section of the adze running up towards the handle appears to be worn / broken away. Red ochre staining is visible running down one side and around the cutting edge. In the past a square paper label was attached to the adze and then removed, leaving a distinct square mark.
