Short, Socket Bayonet with a blade of typical form - flat on one side and shaped like a flattened triangle on the other. The blade terminates in a circular shaft (which would originally have been L shaped and attached to a tubular socket, which fitted over the musket barrel) now shaped and hammered flat.
