Physical description
Heavy, solid door lock of rectangular shape. The front has three screw mounting holes and is heavily embossed with Victorian style floral decoration. Inside a diamond shaped escutcheon appear the manufacturer's letters of C.R.E. This lettering is directly above the keyhole. The latch is built into the bottom part of the lock and has semi circle shaped pull tab to facilitate easier operation. The lockable part of one of the sides of the lock has been sawn away.
